Dr. Robert Kelleher, DDS
Dr. Kelleher understands that each and every patient has different needs and requirements.
When he established his practice this was one of the main focuses, to ensure that patients receive quality and comprehensive care from a reliable orthodontist. Dr. Kelleher focuses on providing personalized orthodontic treatments to address every oral healthcare need and to achieve optimal and lasting results. With his in-depth and hands-on approach to dentistry and orthodontics, he helps patients of all ages enjoy the full advantages of professional dental care.
Dr. Kelleher received his orthodontic specialty training from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA and his general training from USC. Before becoming an orthodontist, Dr. Kelleher was a general dentist for 14 years. He was an associate general dentist for the first 4 years in Sacramento, and then was in private practice for 10 years in the Bay Area. He has served on staff at Stanford University’s Packard Children’s Hospital in the Plastic Surgery/Craniofacial Anomalies Department, working with children with birth defects such as cleft palate. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of the Angle Society, a group of colleagues dedicated toward advancing research in orthodontics. His extensive experience as a general practitioner prior to becoming an orthodontist has been invaluable to his understanding of the comprehensive needs of his patients. He has presented his own research internationally in an effort to contribute to the knowledge base of the orthodontic specialty he loves.
Dr. Robert Kelleher and his staff take patient care to a higher level by ensuring that even underlying needs are addressed. While most patient concerns merely stem from the desire to have straighter teeth, Dr. Kelleher seeks to ensure that all teeth, gum, and jaw health issue are also taken care of. His expertise as an orthodontist helps patients prevent future oral healthcare problems and the costly treatment associated with each one.
When not working with patients, Dr. Kelleher’s other interests include composing music, photography and playing piano in a band that performs mostly blues and pop music. He also can be found riding his bicycle along the bike paths in Folsom, Granite Bay and California Foothills with family or friends. He fancies himself as a remodeling contractor at his home, since he can easily be found wiring a new electrical circuit, building a wall or soldering a copper water line. Additionally, he enjoys travelling and relaxing at home with family.
